Key Responsibilities

Review client files and correct historical entries
Identify errors, reconcile accounts, and prepare clean working papers
Perform inventory, WIP, AR, AP, and payroll reconciliations
Support migrations from different accounting software to different software

Perform weekly and monthly bookkeeping tasks as needed
Prepare full month-end working papers and supporting schedules
Maintain accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, and adjusting entries
Match deposits, clear suspense accounts, reconcile subledgers

Assist in preparing monthly CFO financial packages
Build dashboards, KPIs, and custom management reporting
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all client financials
Provide analysis and commentary that supports strategic decisions

Prepare audit-ready working papers
Respond to auditor inquiries
Support clients through year-end adjustments and documentation
Collaborate with external accountants for tax and assurance needs

Recommend workflow improvements for clients
Assist in building accounting standard operating procedures and internal controls
Help streamline month-end processes for efficiency and accuracy
Support the implementation of new systems
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping roles, ideally with month-end ownership.

Strong Excel, and modern accounting apps

Must-Have Experience
Strong QBO experience (QBO Advanced a bonus)
Month-end working papers (lead sheets, reconciliations, adjusting entries)
Audit or assurance support experience
Cleanup and catch-up accounting
Financial reporting preparation
Understanding of job costing or inventory management (bonus)
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with construction or manufacturing
Knowledge of Vision, BuilderTrend, ServiceTitan, or other job costing systems
Experience mentoring junior bookkeepers
CPA designation (completed or in progress)
